The beloved frontier drama continues its legacy with Season 13 set for 2026 premiere

Hallmark Media has officially renewed its longest-running original series, When Calls the Heart, for a milestone 13th season. The announcement came during the Season 12 finale, sparking celebration among the show's devoted fanbase, affectionately known as the “Hearties.”

Based on Janette Oke’s bestselling novel, When Calls the Heart follows Elizabeth Thatcher, a refined teacher from the city who embarks on a new life in the rugged town of Hope Valley. The series has become a hallmark of family-friendly entertainment, blending romance, faith, and frontier-era storytelling in a way that continues to resonate with audiences across generations.

Starring Erin Krakow, Kevin McGarry, Jack Wagner, Chris McNally, Pascale Hutton, and Kavan Smith, the show has consistently captivated viewers with its heartfelt narratives and enduring themes of love, resilience, and community. Season 12 highlighted the blossoming relationship between Elizabeth and Mountie Nathan Grant, further deepening fans’ investment in the characters’ journeys.

“Hearties are far more than a fan base — they are a connected community,” said Samantha DiPippo, SVP of Programming at Hallmark Media. “It is an honor to continue telling these uplifting stories.”

Season 13 will premiere in 2026 on Hallmark Channel, with next-day streaming available on Hallmark+. Fans can also stream all previous seasons on the platform, making it easy to revisit Hope Valley’s unforgettable moments.

With its renewal, When Calls the Heart cements its place in television history as a rare success story in longevity and emotional storytelling — a true testament to its cast, creators, and loyal viewers.
