What's your favorite opening title credits for a television series?

James Gunn is back with fresh details about Peacemaker Season 2, and fans can expect a wild, emotional ride when the hit HBO Max series returns on August 21st.

In an exclusive with EW, Gunn revealed that Peacemaker’s loyal feathered friend, Eagly, will join the show's iconic dance credits — though not very gracefully. “He’s not the best at it,” Gunn laughs, “but he tries to really join in.”

The new opening sequence, set to premiere at Comic-Con in July, is under major scrutiny after Season 1’s viral success. “This is going to be a cornerstone of the show,” Gunn added.

Season 2 marks the first installment crafted under Gunn’s leadership at DC Studios, allowing deeper integration with the larger DC Universe. Central to the plot is the Quantum Unfolding Chamber (QUC), a mysterious device tied directly to Gunn’s upcoming Superman reboot.

“There are way more connections [to Superman] than people think,” says Gunn. Expect multiple DCU character appearances, including a teased major cameo in the finale.

Returning stars include John Cena as the outcast antihero still battling for respect among metahumans. Newcomers like Michael Rooker as Red St. Wild — Eagly’s nemesis — and Tim Meadows as a ruthless A.R.G.U.S. agent promise to shake up the dynamics.

With big surprises teased for Episodes 1, 6, and 8, Gunn promises this will be a “very, very emotional season.” Comment below with your thoughts.
