What Jerry Bruckheimer film do you want a sequel to? I've talked before about 'Days Of Thunder' crossing over with 'F1', but almost literally every movie he has done, like 'National Treasure', 'Con Air' and 'Gone In 60 Seconds', plus the films he did with Michael Bay, like 'The Rock' and 'Armageddon', I would kill to see a sequel of in the movie theater.

Mega-producer Jerry Bruckheimer was on The Rich Eisen Show recently, where he talked about the films he wants a sequel to, mentioning 'Days Of Thunder' and 'Pirates Of The Caribbean'. Here is the transcript:

Rich Eisen: Give me another movie, maybe one of yours, that you wouldn’t mind seeing get another sequel.

Bruckheimer: I have a couple: Gone in 60 Seconds and Crimson Tide.

Rich Eisen: Oh yeah. I was literally about to ask you about Crimson Tide. I swear to God, I was just about to say, “What about Crimson Tide?”

Bruckheimer: We actually have a really good director and writer talking with the Navy right now about what’s going on under the water.

Rich Eisen: Oh yes. Okay, do you have any idea who you would cast in Crimson Tide?

Bruckheimer: Yeah. Well, we have Denzel. Would he do it? I mean, if we give him a good script, I think he would.

Rich Eisen: Yes. I’m telling you, man, because I watched that movie again after Gene Hackman passed away. That scene with him and Denzel, when everything is going down, is just two heavyweights going at it. Heavyweights. I know it’s an overused sports analogy when it comes to acting, but still, those two together. Were you on set when that was shot?

Bruckheimer: Of course. Look, you had Tony Scott, a phenomenal director. You also had Quentin Tarantino and Robert Towne, two of the greatest writers in our business, writing on that movie and contributing scenes. I don’t know if I’ll ever replicate that level of writing for a film.

Rich Eisen: Did they read it word for word, or was there any ad-libbing? Because that particular scene, when it’s all about to go down, Gene Hackman loses it, and Denzel makes his move, it’s incredible. I can watch that scene over and over again.

Bruckheimer: Gene’s process was interesting. He would sit with his wife over the weekend and memorize the entire week’s script pages. When he showed up on set, he didn’t like improv because he had everything locked in. He just dove into it, and Denzel did too. They really went at it.

Rich Eisen: Do you remember how many takes that scene took?

Bruckheimer: No idea, but it wasn’t many, I’ll tell you that.

Rich Eisen: Yeah, because that’s a crackling, badass movie.

Bruckheimer: Yeah, for sure. So yeah, it’s possible, for a sequel or a remake as well.

Rich Eisen: I love it. I can’t wait for it.
