What is your favorite movie's ending last scene? While 'Inception' to me is the perfect movie, the last scene with the spindle spinning, not knowing if Leonardo DiCaprio's character Dom Cobb is in the real world or stuck in a dream, bothers me. I like movies with clear resolution at the end. Sorta like Leo knowing he will break up with his girlfriend when she turns 27.
Josh Safdie (Uncut Gems) was on the A24 Podcast with fellow filmmaker Sean Baker (Anora) where he admitted his film 'Marty Supreme' was going to end with the villain Milton Rockwell played by Kevin O'Leary (Dragon's Den), as a vampire who finds Marty (Timothée Chalamet) at Tears For Fears concert 30 years later in the 1980's with his grandkid.
“You’re on his eyes, we built the prosthetic for Timmy and everything, and Mr. Wonderful shows up behind him and takes a bite out of his neck, and that was the last thing in the movie.”
Can you imagine a vampire 'Marty Supreme' crossover film with 'Sinners'? Kevin O'Leary getting a franchise on his character makes his speech in the film make more sense, where he talks about seeing many people like Marty and pretty much admitting he is, in fact, a vampire. That ending would make no sense, but it would have made the film more interesting to me.
