What is your favorite decade of television? I grew up in the 80s so I remember being a fan of 'Dukes Of Hazzard', 'Knight Rider', 'A-Team', and 'He-Man'. But I have to say mine is the 2000s with '24', 'Prison Break', 'Lost', and 'Fringe.'

The new 'Miami Vice' film directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick, F1) will be based on the pilot episode of the original series which was famous for its groundbreaking neon light visuals, fashion, and MTV music soundtrack.

Weeks ago, reports were that Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Sinners) and Glen Powell (Twisters, Chad Powers) were in talks to take over the roles of Ricardo Tubbs and Sonny Crockett (that was played by Phillip Michael Thomas and Don Johnson). This was just confirmed by Variety for Jordan's involvement but now Austin Butler is the one in talks to play Crockett. I actually predicted Butler a few months ago but was wrong about who would play Tubbs.

The show which ran for five seasons from 1984-1989 helped revitalize Miami's South Beach art deco district which was influenced from the art department fixing up buildings and giving it it's now famous blue and pink colors.

The movie will take place in the same time period of the 80s when the city was dealing with corruption from the cartel and easy access to South America for drug shipments. We need to see the same Ferrari, cigarette boat, pet alligator and close friendship that was all missing from the terrible 2006 film that starred Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx.

What show from the 80s do you want to see become a film? Comment below with your thoughts.
