Who is your favorite Professor X and Magneto in the X-Men universe? The originals, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, or the new class era with James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender? Are you ready for a third version?
With most of the original X-Men cast set to join the MCU with the upcoming 'Avengers: Doomsday', the question is, how much will they be in the movie? In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, original Mystique Rebecca Romijn talked about whether she was done filming.
“I'm not quite sure. They haven't finished writing it. They keep everything close to the vest themselves in an effort to keep everything under wraps.”
Kevin Feige has said that 'Avengers: Secret Wars' will reset the MCU and that the X-Men will be recast. I say they go with Tobias Fünke as the new Mystique. He looked good in blue paint when he tried to join the Blue Man Group.
Jennifer Lawrence portrayed the younger version of Mystique in the last four films, but it's unknown if any from the New Class era will appear. But since they want to recast it, it's unlikely. Romijn enjoyed the experience of reuniting with her cast onscreen.
“It was very surreal to be with my old cast as well as a new cast. I went back in with full ownership of Mystique.”
Do you think they should recast or keep the original cast, even though most of them are now too old to even be in 'Cocoon?' Comment below with your thoughts.
