Which is your favorite film in the SSU (Sony Spider-Man Universe)? 'Venom'? 'Morbius'? 'Madame Web'? 'Kraven the Hunter'?

Sony CEO Tom Rothman was on Matt Belloni's The Town Podcast where he confirmed that the larger 'Spider-Verse' isn't dead but will be rebooted with a new cast. What actors are left that they or the MCU haven't used?

He also expressed his disappointment that 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' missed the 2 billion dollar mark at $1.9 billion at the box office after China refused to show the film for a silly reason. “They just [said] small thing. They said, ‘No problem. Just cut out the Statue of Liberty, which is where the climax takes place. That was the request.”

After being reminded that the scene was the final 20 minutes of the film, Rothman said, “Yeah, there was that. And also, I really didn’t look forward to standing up, sitting in there in front of Congress, telling them why I cut the Statue of Liberty out at the request of the Chinese Communist Party.” He did confirm there is no Statue of Liberty in 'Spider-Man: A Brand New Day'.

I honestly think that at this point, they should just give full creative control to Marvel and focus on producing and distributing. They wasted actors Tom Hardy, Jared Leto, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Dakota Johnson. The lack of connection and no interaction with Spider-Man was really the nail in the coffin, in my opinion. But I have been wrong before.
