What is your favorite movie adaptation from a video game?
Capcom has released its first trailer of the new 'Street Fighter' movie, which isn't connected to the 1994 film starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. The movie is directed by Kitao Sakurai (Twisted Metal) and premieres in theaters on October 16th, 2026.
It stars Noah Centineo as Ken, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Olivier Richters as Zangief, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Mel Jarnson as Cammy, Roman Reigns as Akuma, Alexander Volkanovski as Joe, Orville Peck as Vega, Rayna Vallandingham as Juli, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, and Eric Andre as Don Sauvage.
The film's visual style reminds me of AI-generated fake movie trailers. If you ever looked up on YouTube a trailer and noticed five seconds in that something isn't right, then you know what I mean. I could be wrong, the film could be so out there it's wildly entertaining and fun.
