Restaurant and Foodservices Association, each day of Swift's concerts brought an estimated $25 million in revenue to local restaurants and businesses — a figure that even outshines the $3 million typically generated by a Vancouver Canucks playoff game.

The concerts at B.C. Place weren’t just about the music; they fueled a city-wide celebration that packed establishments in Vancouver, North Vancouver, and the Olympic Village. Restaurants were filled to capacity, illustrating how Swift's star power attracts fans from across regions, much like the Olympics did 14 years ago.

Telecommunications data also underscored the impact. Rogers reported that fans used over 11 terabytes of mobile data during the final show — a record for any event in Canada. That volume is equivalent to streaming Swift’s entire music catalog nearly 9,500 times.

The Eras Tour finale wasn’t just a financial boon but also a social and emotional event.

Swift’s fans — known as Swifties — brought a unique atmosphere of joy, creativity, and togetherness. As Tostenson noted, “People consume more when the mood is right.”
