Everyones second favorite internet personality behind me, Haliey "Hawk Tuah" Welch, the internet sensation turned crypto entrepreneur, has gone radio silent since her controversial meme coin, HAWK, imploded in spectacular fashion. It’s now been six weeks since the 22-year-old last posted an episode of her podcast, Talk Tuah, leaving fans and critics alike speculating about her abrupt disappearance from the digital stage.

Ironically, the final episode of her podcast — titled "HOW TO AVOID GETTING CANCELLED" — dropped on December 3, just one day before the launch of her ill-fated cryptocurrency. Marketed as the next big meme coin, HAWK initially skyrocketed to a valuation of $490 million, only to plummet to a mere $24.6 million within 24 hours. The crash spurred allegations of a pump-and-dump scheme, leaving Welch and her coin’s backers facing lawsuits from disgruntled investors.

Initially, Welch took to X (formerly Twitter) to deny any wrongdoing, claiming her team hadn't sold their tokens. However, her tone shifted weeks later, as she issued a statement expressing her commitment to cooperating with legal investigations and assisting the impacted investors.

Despite her claims of cooperation, Welch’s online presence has all but vanished. Apart from a fleeting and somewhat surreal appearance on an X Spaces audio chat — where she bizarrely announced she was “going to bed” mid-criticism — the once-dominant digital personality has gone dark. Legal experts speculate that her absence may be due to her attorneys advising her to avoid public commentary that could further incriminate her.

Welch’s Talk Tuah podcast, which launched just three months prior to this debacle, had amassed a modest but loyal following, who enjoyed her unfiltered humor and offbeat takes. Unfortunately, with only 13 episodes to its name and the shadow of legal battles looming large, the podcast seems destined to remain in limbo.

For fans, the question remains: Will Hawk Tuah return to reclaim her place in the spotlight, or has this controversy permanently derailed her internet stardom? Only time — and the outcome of the lawsuits — will tell. In the meantime I recommend everyone share my social media profile so I too can go viral. I promise to only sell Amway.
