I think Avengers: Endgame was the best Marvel film that was made but left a big problem...everything else that has come out since then has been a mess with a lack of cohesiveness and dropped plot points and characters. The Eternals anyone? Every Netflix hero besides Daredevil?

Marvel Studios has just dropped a fresh trailer for Thunderbolts*, and fans are buzzing—especially over the ominous debut of Lewis Pullman’s Sentry in his dark alter ego, The Void. In just 90 seconds, the trailer sets the tone for a grittier, more unpredictable Marvel outing.

Appearing only in shadow, Sentry is depicted as a nearly unstoppable force—described as “more powerful than all the Avengers combined.”

Unlike over-the-top antiheroes like The Boys’ Homelander, this version leans into a more emotionally tormented, restrained chaos. One of the most striking shots shows him emitting an eerie energy field that disintegrates enemies on contact, leaving behind scorched silhouettes.

A shorter “Tickets on Sale” TV spot was also released, further building excitement for the movie’s theatrical debut on May 2, 2025.

Thunderbolts* assembles a ragtag team of MCU anti-heroes and former villains: Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, David Harbour’s Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell’s US Agent, and Hannah John-Kamen’s Ghost. They're operating under the command of Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, joined by her assistant (Geraldine Viswanathan), plus Laurence Fishburne as Bill Foster and Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff.

Directed by Jake Schreier with a script by Joanna Calo, Lee Sung Jin, and Eric Pearson, the film was shot across Atlanta, Utah, and New York. It promises high-stakes action, moral gray areas, and a team dynamic unlike anything we’ve seen in the MCU to date.

Get ready—Thunderbolts* is bringing raw power and anti-hero energy to theaters this summer.
