Vancouver Film Industry: "Fire Country" & "Sheriff Country" Has Another Crossover In November
What is your favorite crossover of two hit shows? I'm going with 'Supernatural' and 'Scooby Doo.' It was hilarious, perfect meta and allowed the characters to enter new comedy territory for stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.
Good news for fans of CBS's franchise of 'Fire Country' and 'Sheriff Country', as the shows will have another two-hour crossover event on November 6th, 2026. 'Fire Country' is going into its fifth season while 'Sheriff Country' enters its second.
The thing about crossovers is that usually they are filmed in the same city but while both are set in the town of Edgewater, Northern California, Fire is filmed in Vancouver while Sheriff is shot in Toronto. I mean, for my American readers your saying it's still Canada, but it's like a six-hour flight, as the country is actually bigger than the USA for land. So while the coordination isn't as stressful as an Arrowverse crossover with five shows, they still have to deal with flying cast back and forth.
The crossover's official logline is "A dangerous prison break escalates into a volatile hostage crisis. Sheriff Mickey Fox (Morena Bacarrin) must make a high-stakes decision with personal consequences that could change the course of the case and put lives on the line. After escaped convicts trigger a dangerous manhunt, Bode (Max Thieriot) and the Station 42 crew join forces with Sheriff Mickey Fox and her deputies to protect their loved ones and the community caught in the crossfire."
The franchise's first crossover was last April, and a third series is in development that focuses on the Medical department that means for the next few years Friday night is Edgewater night on CBS.
