Over ten years ago, when I was a videographer on a Holland America cruise ship, my drummer friend from the show lounge band got me into watching Continuum. It was a Canadian show set in Vancouver in the year 2077 starring Rachel Nichols and Victor Webster.
What was strange was that my friend was not only an American watching a Canadian show, but I was watching one too, as most Canadian shows never interested me. I would later work on the show a few times, and it was a fun production to be on.
Sullivan's Crossing, which films in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is about a Doctor (Morgan Kohan) who returns to her hometown and falls in love with a grieving widow (Chad Michael Murray) and reconnects with her estranged father (Scott Patterson).
The show, which airs in Canada on CTV and in the USA on The CW, has become a hit with American audiences as it has topped the Netflix USA TV charts and is number 3 globally. It has been renewed for season 4 which airs in 2026. I watched the first few episodes, and while it's not as slick or dramatic as One Tree Hill, it would appeal to most viewers.
