Deadpool Batman

Have you ever dreamt about a film where the DC superheroes go against Marvel's? Superman vs Hulk? Flash vs Quicksilver? Thanos vs Darkseid?

Comic book fans, get ready for the ultimate clash of chaos and control. Marvel and DC are teaming up for a rare crossover featuring Deadpool and Batman, marking the first collaboration between the two comic book giants since 2003’s JLA/Avengers.

Announced earlier this year at the ComicsPro retailer expo and now confirmed via Entertainment Weekly, this historic team-up will come to life in two separate one-shots: Deadpool/Batman from Zeb Wells and legendary artist Greg Capullo, and Batman/Deadpool helmed by iconic creator Grant Morrison alongside Dan Mora.

According to Marvel Entertainment President Dan Buckley, getting this crossover off the ground was no small feat. “A lot of things have to align… You want to have the right talent involved because with this type of thing, you want to elevate it as much as you can.”

DC Comics CCO Jim Lee echoed this sentiment, calling it a “once every generation” event. He added, “You want them to feel special… It’s about finding the right moment for both companies to come together.”

Plot details are sparse, but the story kicks off with Wade Wilson getting hired for a mysterious job in Gotham City—one that quickly lands him on Batman’s radar. Backup stories featuring other Marvel and DC characters are planned, but remain top secret for now.

More one-shots are slated for 2026, suggesting this is just the beginning of a renewed Marvel/DC partnership.

With Morrison, Wells, Capullo, and Mora all onboard, expectations are sky-high for this creative fusion of fan-favorite characters.
