So I recently went down the Kennedy family rabbit hole after watching 'JFK' for an article. Since then, I've watched 'Parkland' with Zac Efron about the Kennedy assassination that focuses on the Secret Service agents, the Dallas Hospital Doctors and Abraham Zapruder, who shot the most famous film in world history. Then I watched 'Thirteen Days' with Kevin Costner starring again, about the Cuban missile crisis, and Ryan Murphy's 'Love Story' about the romance of JFK Jr., played by Paul Anthony Kelly, and Carolyn Bessette, played by Sarah Pidgeon.
There was some talk when the show first aired about Kelly being a good choice to play the DCU Batman, which I didn't have an opinion on at the time since I wasn't watching. But now that I'm four episodes in, there are many similarities between Bruce Wayne and JFK Jr. that I can see Kelly being able to play both.
Both their fathers were assassinated when they were young, and they had to put on a mask in public, where crazy expectations were set upon them. They sought out relationships where they could be their true selves and fight their insane public personas.
I have talked before about the big 3 candidates for playing the DCU Batman are Jensen Ackles (Supernatural), Brandon Sklenar (1923), and Alan Ritchson (Reacher). Can Kelly be added to the list or am I way off?
