The Batman came out in 2022 and many fans are tired of waiting for the sequel and would rather DC just bring in the new DCU Batman for the announced The Brave And The Bold.
Filmmaker Matt Reeves is reportedly in the final stages of completing the script for The Batman Part II, according to a new update from The Wrap. Sources say Reeves has been sharing pages for over six months, with the first full draft expected by Memorial Day.
Originally announced in April 2022, the sequel was initially slated for a 2026 debut. However, industry strikes and scheduling delays have pushed the premiere to October 1, 2027. Despite growing speculation about the project’s future, The Batman Part II remains active, with Reeves still committed to directing.
Production is expected to begin in early 2026 in the UK, with March tentatively set as the start date. This allows ample time for pre-production work and script refinements.
Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as the Dark Knight, joined once again by Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, and Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb/The Penguin.
Fans remain hopeful as progress continues behind the scenes, reaffirming Warner Bros. Pictures' long-term investment in Gotham’s gritty cinematic saga. Comment below if you want a new DCU Batman.
