Nicolas Cage Is In Talks To Join "True Detective" Season 5

What's your favorite Nicolas Cage movie? For me, Cage has the holy trinity of action films: 'The Rock', 'Face/Off', and 'Con Air'. Unfortunately, in the past few years, Cage has been chasing every direct-to-DVD film to help pay off his tax problems.

Issa López, who took over showrunner duties on season 4 of 'True Detective' from Nic Pizzolatto, is back for the fifth season, and she's potentially bringing on Nicolas Cage to play detective Henry Logan in Jamaica Bay, New York. I'd love to see an unhinged Cage in the actual country of Jamaica trying to solve a case there. It would be like the spiritual sequel to 'The Surfer.'

Season 1 of 'True Detective' is its most acclaimed. Starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, the season came out in 2014 and was the basis for movie stars to do TV shows. Personally, I found season 2 with Collin Farrell and Rachel McAdams the most entertaining, as I never bought into the slow-paced gothic themes of the first season. Season 3 with Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff had the best ending, with a cop's amnesia letting the killer get away. I gave up after the first episode of season 4 starring Jodie Foster, after they tied into season 1 by having McConaughey's deceased father dancing as a ghost in a snowstorm.
