Amazon MGM Studios has officially released the first trailer and a brand-new poster for Project Hail Mary, the highly anticipated sci-fi adaptation of Andy Weir’s bestselling novel.
From the acclaimed author of The Martian, this thrilling space adventure stars Ryan Gosling as Ryland Grace, a lone astronaut who wakes up aboard a mysterious spacecraft with no memory of his mission—or even his own identity.
As fragments of memory return, Grace realizes he is the sole survivor of a last-chance mission to the Tau Ceti solar system. His objective? To save Earth from an extinction-level threat. Relying on scientific brilliance and instinct, Grace must unravel the mission’s secrets—and may discover he’s not as alone as he thinks.
The film is written by Drew Goddard, marking his return to Andy Weir’s cinematic universe after adapting The Martian. Helming the project are Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the visionary minds behind The Lego Movie and producers of the Spider-Verse franchise.
Joining Gosling are acclaimed German actress Sandra Hüller and This Is Us star Milana Vayntrub in supporting roles.
Project Hail Mary is set to hit theaters on March 20, 2026, promising a gripping mix of high-stakes science, interstellar mystery, and emotional depth. Comment below with your thoughts.
