NFL overtime field goals dallas cowboys green bay packers

Did you watch last Sunday night's football game between the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers and feel it was anticlimactic when it ended in a tie, even though both teams kicked a field goal in overtime?

I have a crazy concept that I saw being passed around online, and that's if games end in a tie, they incorporate field goal shootouts. Starting at the 30-yard goal line and moving back five yards after every turn until one kicker misses.

By doing what the NHL does, viewers will get an absolute resolution ending with more drama. This probably would not be advised for playoff games, but it's better than it is now or was last year, when it would end if the first team to touch the ball got a touchdown.
