"Survivor Australia v The World" First Trailer Released Online With August 17th Premiere

I have written before about how the Australian versions of Survivor and The Amazing Race are much more entertaining than the USA versions, and until this month, I thought they were still headed in the right direction with the upcoming Survivor Australia v The World season, which premieres August 17th.

But the worst news came out weeks ago when they fired Australia host Jonathan LaPaglia (JLP), who started hosting in 2016 with the revival. Jeff Probst used to be great, ripping quitters and getting to the best drama with villains, but now he seems more fixated on being a motivational speaker, which is a positive thing to watch but far removed from the origins of the game and kinda boring if I'm being honest.

JLP has, in my opinion, for at least the last five seasons, overtaken him with his mix of humor and interaction with the contestants. My vote is that he takes over the USA version from Probst. This Australia season should be great as it brings in players from the USA and other international versions.
