"The Force Awakens" First Scene Should Have Been Luke Skywalker Doing Jedi Heroics

What's your biggest film disappointment? Without a doubt, for me it's 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'. I couldn't wait to see all the original characters reunite and continue their adventures together as a group. I mean, it's not like they would take a step back to new characters.
So when I first watched it in theaters, I was suspecting the first scene would be Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, the Droids, Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca all together. The opening title begins, and it's a rush hearing the music with the title crawl. Okay, so the first scene starts with the character Finn escaping from being a Stormtrooper. Interesting, but where are the main characters?
Now we see a Sith, Kylo Ren, who we would later find out is Ben Solo, the son of Han and Leia. Um, why is he bad? Oh, cause he's bipolar in the Britney Spears way. We're introduced to Rebel pilot Poe Dameron, who is a younger ripoff of Han. This is all nice and good, but where's Luke Skywalker??
Now we finally meet Rey, who I predict will be the Star Wars version of a Manic Pixie Girl, who will be there to further the plots of Finn and Poe. Screw all this, where is Luke fuc--ng Skywalker?
Let's skip to the end. Not only would Han Solo die before seeing Luke again, but we as an audience wouldn't see Luke until the very last scene and suffer watching him play an angry Howard Hughes-like hermit. Imagine being Mark Hamill and being told to spend a year growing out your hair and beard, only to have to show up for half a day of work in a betrayal of your beloved character.
This is where 'The Mandalorian' comes in. The season 2 finale would bring us a younger version of Luke, the hopeful and heroic Jedi, as he saves the characters using cinematic lightsaber moves and Force powers that we haven't seen since 'Revenge Of The Sith.' This is what I say the first scene of the sequels should have been.
I mean, the whole trilogy ended with Manic Pixie Rey facing off against Palpatine, who ended up being her biological Grandpa. It should have been Luke to face him. It's like watching 'Avengers: Endgame' and Aunt May is the one to kill Thanos.
Final Note: I worked with Mark Hamill on 'The Flash' in the episode where his character, The Trickster, held a cocktail party hostage by drugging everyone. Even though filming wrapped around 5am, he was nice enough to go around and shake everyone's hands. There were around 100 crew and background extras. So he definitely deserved better for Luke Skywalker.
