So last Saturday night at UFC 326, the official fight card for the White House show on June 14th was revealed, and if you were hoping for either Conor McGregor or Jon Jones to fight, you will be sadly disappointed. But let's face it, the threat of them pulling an antic to drop out or request more money was too great to risk.
I don't want to get into the politics of what this card means. I have friends who have completely stopped watching UFC since CEO Dana White has brought out President Donald Trump to the cards. I believe sports should unite people. So, whether you are a Republican or a Democrat, let's put our differences aside for one night. Here is the fight card:
Opening Fight: Diego Lopes vs. Steve Garcia
Second Fight: Bo Nickal vs. Kyle Daukaus
Third Fight: Mauricio Ruffy vs. Michael Chandler
Fourth Fight: Sean O’Malley vs. Aimann Zahabi
Co-Main Event: Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane — For Interim Heavyweight Title
Main Event: Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje- For Lightweight Title
