The fact that he never won an Oscar for 'Born On The Fourth Of July', 'Rain Man' and 'Jerry Maguire' remains one of the award show's biggest misdeeds. Hell, throw in 'Cocktail' and 'A Few Good Men' for good measure.

Warner Bros has released the first teaser trailer online of Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s 'Digger' starring Tom Cruise as Digger Rockwell, a powerful global figure who races to convince the world he’s its savior—before the catastrophic consequences of his own actions unleash widespread destruction. Scientology isn't blackmailing Trump, is it?

The teaser doesn't show much, just back shots of Cruise in character with long hair and in shorts, carrying a shovel, dancing in a warehouse and on a pier. The film co-stars John Goodman (The Big Lebowski, Jesse Plemons (Friday Night Lights), Sandra Hüller (The Zone of Interest), Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler), Burn Gorman (The Dark Knight Rises), Michael Stuhlbarg (The Post), Sophie Wilde (Babygirl), and Emma D’Arcy (House of Dragon). It comes out in theatres on October 2nd, 2026, which is the time Oscar-bait films are released.
