Can you name one show or movie that has done better Meta comedy than Supernatural?
Fans of The Boys and Supernatural are celebrating a full-circle moment as beloved cast members reunite in the fifth and final season of Prime Video’s gritty superhero drama. Jensen Ackles, reprising his role as Soldier Boy, has confirmed that Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins will join him for a long-awaited on-screen reunion.
In an interview with People, Ackles said:“We see each other more often than you would think — honestly, at least once a month. It was weird. It was like inviting my friends over to somebody else’s house for dinner... They were amazing.”
Ackles and series creator Eric Kripke go way back to their Supernatural roots. This reunion brings together not only Ackles, Padalecki, and Collins but also Supernatural co-stars Jim Beaver and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, both of whom already had recurring roles in The Boys.
Beaver played Secretary of Defense Robert Singer, a fan-favorite character with political influence, while Morgan debuted last season in a mysterious role tied to Billy Butcher.
With filming now complete and post-production underway, fans are eagerly awaiting the 2026 premiere.
While the extent of Padalecki and Collins’ roles remains under wraps, their presence adds emotional depth and nostalgia to the show’s explosive finale. For fans of both worlds, this crossover is a dream come true. Comment below with your thoughts.
