What is your favorite mystery show like 'Lost'? I have to go with JJ Abrams' 'Fringe', which filmed its last few seasons in Vancouver. I was lucky enough to work on a few episodes, and I have talked before about how the last shot could be the most satisfying in a series finale.

Do you remember 'Heroes', which came out in 2006 during that whole craze? Zachary Quinto (Star Trek) is famous for playing Sylar in the superhero show in the role of the psycho villain who was able to steal powers from other superhumans. Quinto talked about his role in a 2021 Salt Lake City Comic Convention panel.

"Sylar was written very well, especially in the first season. Originally, he was only supposed to be on the show for about eight episodes. He was supposed to die in the first season, but people really liked him. We got into a territory later on where we were breaking our own rules just to keep the character around, and that's always dangerous."

The show had a successful first season, but dropped the ball in season 2 when the 2007-2008 Writers' Strike forced it to end after 11 episodes and not the planned 24. The show was never the same since then and was cancelled after four seasons. A revival came out in 2015 but without Quinto, Milo Ventimiglia and Hayden Panettiere, who played Peter Petrelli and Claire Bennet.
