A few days ago I posted about Dwayne Johnson's MMA film The Smashing Machine on how it has big shoes to fill for MMA films that Tom Hardy's Warrior left. Dana White is famous for not liking Warrior on how it showcased UFC and is now producing his own film

Zack Snyder is bringing his signature cinematic style to the world of mixed martial arts. In a powerful new collaboration with the UFC, Snyder will direct Brawler, a hard-hitting feature film that blends emotional storytelling with intense action. The movie follows a young fighter from the tough streets of Los Angeles who earns a shot at UFC glory, but must conquer his inner demons on the path to redemption.

Snyder, known for 300, Army of the Dead, and Rebel Moon, will not only direct but co-write Brawler with long-time collaborators Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad. The project is being produced under Snyder’s Stone Quarry banner alongside his wife and producing partner Deborah Snyder, and Wesley Coller. UFC’s chief content officer Craig Borsari and Saudi entertainment leader Turki Alalshikh are set to executive produce.

This marks another ambitious move for the UFC, which recently made headlines for hosting its first live sporting event at Las Vegas’ massive Sphere venue. With Brawler, the organization is expanding further into cinematic territory, promising fight sequences that match the raw energy of real-life Octagon battles—elevated by Snyder’s visual flair.

“Behind every great fighter is the story of how they got there,” Snyder said. “UFC is the world leader in combat sports, and I’m honored to be partnering with them to tell this incredible story.”

As UFC continues evolving its entertainment footprint and Snyder explores bold new storytelling arenas, Brawler is shaping up to be a must-watch for fight fans and film buffs alike.
