Can Elseworld's Batman Fit Tonally Into James Gunn's DCU?

Do you remember how in the first season of 'Arrow' it seemed impossible that superpowers would be fit into the show's grounded reality? That soon changed midway through season 2 when they introduced Grant Gustin as The Flash, and we would quickly see Supergirl, time travellers, and Constantine.
The big question in the DCU is who will play Batman in the new universe spearheaded by James Gunn. To be honest, I'm a little fatigued by Batman. Even though I found the Elseworld's version of Robert Pattinson boring and depressing to watch, I'd rather they just incorporate him into it than start over with another.
I have written previously on who should play Batman in the DCU. Jensen Ackles, Alan Ritchson, and Brandon Sklenar are my top 3 choices, and of the three, I would go with Ackles to fit into the lighter comic book tone of the DCU. Some of the best episodes of 'Supernatural' were when Ackles went full comedy.
'The Batman' and 'The Penguin' were both dark, gritty and void of optimism, which 'Superman' showed in spades. David Corenswet was funny, heroic, and loyal to his friends, family and his dog Krypto. Robert Pattinson was brooding, sad, and half a pill short of Prozac. Would they fit well together? What about throwing Peacemaker into it? Or the three Green Lanterns?
