David Fincher's "Squid Game" Spinoff Series Cancelled At Netflix

What is your favorite David Fincher film? I'm going with 'Fight Club' as it is the perfect movie to debate with other cinephiles over story, visual style, and characters. I once worked on set with Meat Loaf on the legal series 'Fairly Legal' and was lucky enough to talk to him about it.
Sad news for fans of the Korean series 'Squid Game' as Netflix isn't moving forward with David Fincher's spinoff series, which was planned to take place in the USA but be filmed in the UK. Written by Dennis Kelly (Utopia), this was set to star Cate Blanchett, who cameoed in the Korean series finale. I thought the series ended on a perfect note but could see why it could be milked more.
Apparently, this was Netflix's decision as they wanted to focus on other countries' versions. With one year left on Fincher's contract with Netflix, one has to wonder if Fincher will return to releasing films in the theater, something he hasn't done since 2014 with 'Gone Girl.'
Fincher's next film is the 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' sequel 'The Adventures of Cliff Booth' starring Brad Pitt and written by Quentin Tarantino, who didn't return as director. It will be interesting to see if Netflix's cancellation ruins Fincher's relationship with them.
