Sad news at the DCU as the planned series 'Booster Gold' is not moving ahead on HBO. The superhero is a gloryhound time traveller from the future who returns to historical events to save the day and become famous.

Showrunner David Jenkins (Our Flag Means Death) talked on his Threads about the cancellation using Mahershala Ali's statement on the 'Blade' film being dead: "My 'Booster Gold' won’t be moving forward. Can’t improve on Mahershala’s lovely statement so I’ll just apply it here as well."

Glen Powell was rumored to play the lead among other actors, but who would you have wanted to star? I'm going with Zac Efron, who is probably the strongest comedic actor at the moment.
