Bad news for fans of Nurse Claire Temple, played by Rosario Dawson in all the Netflix Marvel shows, as it was revealed she filmed a scene in 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' that was cut.
"I told my mom about the scene being cut, and she was like, 'That sucks. Now I can't post the pictures. And I was like, 'Right, mom, me being cut out of the movie that has like the largest viewership of a trailer ever, the issue is you can't post your BTS photos.' I tell you my post was already ready with my behind-the-scenes, with my grandson wearing all his Spider-Man stuff cause he loves Spider-Man. Then I got the email, so yeah, I’m a reject of Spider-Man.”
Screenwriters Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers told The Wrap that it was in a scene after Spider-Man battles the Scorpion.
McKenna: "Rosario Dawson is great. I wasn’t there for those discussions. But it was great. If anything, you have a movie that is two-and-a-half hours long, and it’s almost an embarrassment of riches with so many great characters and so many great scenes."
Sommers: "The scene they did was a good scene. I think the only reason it’s not in the final cut was just that it was probably cut for time because it was very good."
With Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage all returning for season 3 of 'Daredevil: Reborn', the Netflix shows are all canon in the MCU, so it will be interesting to see if any appear in 'Avengers: Doomsday'.
