What's your favorite Quentin Tarantino film?
In 2017, JJ Abrams was pitched by Tarantino a R-rated Star Trek film. The script saw Patrick Stewart and William Shatner reprising their roles in an alternate Earth from the 'Star Trek' original series season 2 episode 'A Piece Of The Action', which was stuck in the 1930s Gangster era.
Screenwriter Mark L. Smith talked about how Quentin Tarantino got cold feet with his goal of retiring from directing after his tenth film.
"He started worrying about the number, his kind of unofficial number of films. I remember we were talking, and he goes, ‘If I can just wrap my head around the idea that Star Trek could be my last movie, the last thing I ever do. Is this how I want to end it?’ And I think that was the bump he could never get across, so the script is still sitting there on his desk."
Would you want to see a Star Trek with a gangster tale over a science fiction one? Will Tarantino really quit at ten films? Comment below with your thoughts.
