What is your favorite TV series adaptation from a film?

David Kalstein (Treadstone) is creating a revival TV series for 'Point Break', the 1991 feature film starring Keanu Reeves as Johnny Utah, an FBI agent who goes undercover with a surfer gang who moonlight as bank robbers called the Ex-Presidents. He faces conflict when he befriends the leader Bodhi, played by Patrick Swayze and falls in love with groupie Tyler, played by Lori Petty.

The series is being set up at AMC, and it will have ties to the original characters. My theory is that it will involve the kids of Reeves and Swayze, who are either rivals, lovers or boring bank employees. Do you remember the 2015 remake film starring Luke Bracey and Edgar Ramírez? The whole film was just stunts and short on plot, and it is the reason I'm hesitant about the new series. Every new show is great for the film industry, so I hope for its success.
