Pierce Brosnan, Tom Hardy, and Helen Mirren will return for more explosive mob drama.
Paramount+ has officially renewed its breakout hit MobLand for a second season, confirming the series' status as a global phenomenon.
With over 26 million global viewers tuning in during the show's first 70 days, MobLand has become the second most-watched original series on the platform, trailing only Landman.
The high-stakes crime drama stars Pierce Brosnan, Tom Hardy, and Helen Mirren in a tale of two warring mob families whose feud threatens to dismantle dynasties. The show has spent five consecutive weeks on Nielsen’s Top 10 SVOD original series chart.
Created by Ronan Bennett (Top Boy) and co-written with Jez Butterworth (Ford v Ferrari), MobLand is executive produced by Guy Ritchie and David C. Glasser of 101 Studios. The ensemble cast also includes Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Jasmine Jobson, and more.
“We are elated to greenlight a second season,” said Chris McCarthy, president of Showtime/MTV Entertainment and co-CEO of Paramount Global. “MobLand has captivated viewers across the globe, topping charts both domestically and in the UK.”
Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, the show continues to set the bar for prestige mob storytelling on streaming platforms. As fans await season two, it's clear that MobLand is more than a series—it's a cultural force. Comment below with your thoughts.
