What is your favorite medical show? Back in 1994, 'ER' and 'Chicago Hope' both premiered and really launched the genre. I acted once in the TLC show 'Sex Sent Me To The ER', where I played Trevor, a paramedic whose ex-girlfriend was rushed to the ER when her new boyfriend, a 400-pound virgin, rammed her head through the wall during sex. I know, cool huh?
Jared Padalecki (Walker, Supernatural) is reuniting with 'Walker' showrunner Anna Fricke on a medical drama for CBS set in Padalecki's native Texas. The series logline is: “A headstrong, devoted doctor (Padalecki) practices his unique style of improvisational medicine alongside his new protégé, a young doctor escaping her past, as they operate a mobile clinic and heal the bodies and souls of their underserved community in the medical desert of rural Texas.”
Padalecki was last seen last year in 'Fire Country' as Camden Casey in a role that was expected to be a launching pad for a spinoff that never materialized. That show is filmed in Vancouver, where Padalecki spent 15 years shooting 'Supernatural'. He probably got tired of having to pay for umbrellas, which is why he prefers filming in Austin.
