What's your favorite movie about God or Jesus?

Page Six is reporting that 'The Passion Of The Christ' original cast members Jim Caviezel and Monica Bellucci, who played Jesus and Mary Magdalene, have left the sequel 'The Resurrection Of The Christ' as Director Mel Gibson has found the digital de-aging of the actors too much to handle, as it has been 21 years since the last film.

A source has said: “They’re [currently] meeting with actors [in Rome]” with another saying they’d switched it up because: “They’d [have had] to do a lot of work with the [original] actors…digital stuff, plus the scheduling… There was a lot of back and forth.”

The film will be split into two parts to be released on religious holidays in 2027. The first will come out Good Friday, March 26th and the second one six weeks later on Ascension Day, March 26th.

Caviezel, for his part, was undergoing a serious preparation involving praying the rosary, fasting, and receiving daily communion on set. He was also reading The Screwtape Letters, C.S. Lewis' book about a senior demon mentoring a younger one, which helped Caviezel understand evil more. Caviezel said about the book: “I’m not a sheep. I was a wolf who’s been changed.” Yeah, whatever that means.
