What was your favorite production you worked on that left you most disappointed when it finished? I have to go with 'Supernatural', which ended six years ago after 15 seasons. As a fan of the show, I understood that the storylines ran out, but I don't think anyone would have been sad if it went on for another ten years.
Bad news for the Vancouver film industry, as CBS's firefighting show 'Fire Country' will drop its episode count from 20 down to 13 for its fifth season next year. That's around two months that the local crew will lose work on a top-tier show. This coincides with the breaking news of the network moving the filming of 'Tracker' to Los Angeles. Do you watch either show?
CBS is also doing a reduced episode count for 'Matlock' and 'NCIS: Origins'. This will make room for three more drama series, NCIS: New York,' 'Einstein' and 'Cupertino.' 'Einstein' will film in Montreal after filming the pilot in Toronto. CBS also ended the Vancouver shot 'Watson', which just aired its series finale after two seasons.
With the news that another spinoff of 'Fire Country' is in development, focusing on the medical team in the city of Edgewater, here's hoping that it films here in Vancouver, as its first spinoff, 'Sheriff Country', is shot in Toronto.
Do you want the next 'Fire Country' spinoff to film in Vancouver or Toronto? Comment below with your thoughts.
