I hate most cable network shows opening credits scenes that may be artistic but too long and boring. Peacemaker season one is the rare opposite, with the cast dancing to Wig Wam's song Do Ya Want To Taste It. You watch the show just for the credit scene.
The wait is over—Team Peacemaker is back. John Cena reprises his role as the foul-mouthed, justice-obsessed vigilante in the first trailer for “Peacemaker” Season 2, premiering August 21 on Max. Created by James Gunn, the second season marks the first live-action series in Gunn’s rebooted DC Universe, following his animated series Creature Commandos.
This season picks up after the events of The Suicide Squad and the 2022 Peacemaker debut, diving deeper into Christopher Smith’s reluctant hero arc. Tasked once again by A.R.G.U.S., the black-ops agency uniting superhumans, Peacemaker must face new enemies and even older ghosts—including Rick Flag Sr., played by Frank Grillo, father of the man he killed in The Suicide Squad.
Joining the action are returning favorites Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, Jennifer Holland, and the always-iconic bird companion Eagly. Fans also get a sneak peek at major cameos from Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner and Isabela Merced’s Hawkgirl, both set to appear in Gunn’s upcoming Superman film.
With high-octane action, gritty humor, and a tangled web of vengeance, loyalty, and redemption, Season 2 promises to push Peacemaker to his limits.
“Peacemaker” Season 2 premieres August 21 with eight new episodes.
