Have you ever worked on a film set with a difficult actor?
The Hollywood Reporter, in a new article about Kevin Costner, is reporting on a past dust-up on the set of the hit show 'Yellowstone' (where he played John Dutton) with Wes Bentley (who played his adopted son Jamie).
It was on the kitchen set of the Dutton ranch at the studio in Utah that featured Costner, Bentley, and Kelly Reilly (who played Beth Dutton). The fight erupted in between takes when Costner was trying to get Bentley to play the scene his way, which was going against creator Taylor Sheridan's vision of the scene. Bentley stood his ground, saying he signed up for a Taylor Sheridan show, not a Kevin Costner production.
A source said: “Kevin didn’t like that, and he lunged at him. No fists were thrown, but they were in each other’s faces, pushing and shoving and just getting hot until they had to be separated.” This fight caused Reilly to break out in tears, and the show shut down for the day.
The article also goes into Costner's plan to get his four 'Horizon' films made, ignoring Steven Spielberg's advice on not filming 'Waterworld' on the open ocean, and burning bridges with former friends.
