Amazon Prime has released the first trailer online for 'Madden', the biopic of the NFL's iconic coach and announcer John Madden, directed by David O. Russell (I Heart Huckabees, Three Kings). The film stars Nicolas Cage as John Madden, Christian Bale as owner Al Davis, Kathryn Hahn as Virginia Madden, John Mulaney as EA CEO Trip Hawkins, and Sienna Miller as Carol Davis. Seeing Cage and Bale onscreen together, trying to be the bigger actor could be the best pairing of the last few years.
The film will be set in the 70's and will follow Madden as he leaves coaching behind to become the greatest football announcer and create the massively successful 'Madden' video game franchise, which has sold 150 million copies, generating over $4 billion dollar revenue.
