Nicolas Cage is my favorite actor with The Rock, Con Air, and Face/Off probably the best trinity of blockbuster films any actor has done in a row.
Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the first teaser for its highly anticipated live-action series, Spider-Man Noir, featuring Oscar winner Nicolas Cage. Known for voicing the same character in 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Cage now steps into the trench coat of a brooding, aged superhero in 1930s New York.
Set during the Great Depression, the series centers on a hardboiled private investigator who wrestles with a buried past — one that includes his days as the city's only masked crimefighter. It's a dark, stylish twist on the classic Spider-Man mythos, blending noir aesthetics with superhero grit.
Showrunners Oren Uziel (The Lost City) and Steve Lightfoot (The Punisher) helm the series, while Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag) directs and executive produces the first two episodes. The creative team also includes Spider-Verse veterans Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal.
The cast is stacked with talent, including Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Lukas Haas, and Li Jun Li, with an extensive ensemble supporting Cage's complex lead role.
Although the exact release date remains unannounced, Spider-Man Noir will first debut on MGM+ in the U.S., followed by a next-day release on Amazon Prime Video.
