Osgood Perkins The Monkey Keeper Longlegs The Young People NEON

What's your favorite horror production filmed in Vancouver? Is it a TV show like 'X-Files' and 'Supernatural'? Or is it a film like 'Grave Encounters' and 'Freddy vs Jason'? Mine has always been the Weather Network, hoping it doesn't rain.

Osgood Perkins has set his next film, "The Young People", to start filming in October. It will be his fifth straight film shot in Vancouver after 'Gretel & Hansel', 'Longlegs', 'The Monkey', and 'Keeper', which comes out November 14th. This will be his fourth movie with NEON producing.

The film will star Nico Parker ('The Last Of Us) and Lola Tung ('The Summer I Turned Pretty') as two high school friends, Sue and Kitty, whose friendship changes when Kitty starts behaving strangely. If she deletes her TikTok, you know something is up.

The first three films have brought more than $30 million to the local economy and have employed crew during a downturn in the industry. Perkins and his producers have set a strong base in the city, which hopefully will only grow stronger.

One question I have is whether his films are all set in the same Perkinsverse. Imagine a fun crossover where Nicolas Cage, Theo James and Rossif Sutherland are all stuck in the same haunted cabin. The last one out has to carry the umbrellas.

What is your favorite Perkins film? Do you like the idea of them all existing in the same universe? Comment below with your thoughts.
