Sylvester Stallone Wants To Re-Edit "Rocky V"
What is your favorite moment from the 'Rocky' franchise? Mine is from the 'Creed II' spinoff when Rocky goes to visit his son in Vancouver that you can tell was filmed in Los Angeles. It made me laugh, as usually it's the other way around.
This could either be bad or good news depending on your taste, but Sylvester Stallone is pushing Amazon to let him re-edit 'Rocky V.' Yes, the same one that saw Rocky battle Tommy Gunn in an ending street fight that, while nicely choreographed, was silly and non-realistic. I mean, how many times have we seen Muhammad Ali on TV getting into fights at a bar while a news crew is conveniently nearby?
Stallone recently told Sirius XM: "This is news. I've been talking to Amazon. I said, 'Please give me three weeks. I want to recut that movie.'" He further elaborated that by bringing in more of Bill Conti's score and replacing the soundtrack, the film would be much improved, with an hour of unused footage, and he said the film is "It's like a thorn in my soul."
Stallone previously edited 'Rocky IV,' which I have major problems with since he took out Paulie's robot SICO that was my favorite part of the film. Do you think he should just leave everything alone?
