What is your favorite live-action 'Star Wars' series?

The first trailer is out for Jon Favreau’s 'The Mandalorian And Grogu', which is set for release in theaters on May 22nd, 2026. Starring Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver, the film is a continuation of the series, which ran for three seasons on Disney+. Also joining the cast is Jeremy Allen White as Jabba the Hutt's son Rotta, and Johnny Coyne as the Imperial villain.

Lucasfilm released the official logline of: "The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.”

To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of using stagecraft (the large volume screens). I felt 'The Batman' looked too clean and digital compared to Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight saga, which felt epic in every frame. The 'Star Wars' prequels also had that problem, and this trailer makes it feel like another episode of the show. But I could be wrong, and it could have been filmed more in practical locations. Crazier things have happened.
