What is your favorite TV series of the 1980s? There's The Dukes of Hazzard', 'The A-Team', 'Knight Rider', and of course, the show that had the biggest effect on pop culture and fashion: 'Miami Vice.'

Hollywood Insider Daniel RPK has reported that Tom Cruise is in talks to play the villain in Joseph Kosinski's 'Miami Vice' film reboot. Austin Butler (Elvis) and new Academy Award winner Michael B. Jordan are close to signing on to play Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs, that was played by Don Johnson and Phillip Michael Thomas, in the 80s show, and Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx in the 2006 film.

Cruise killed it the first time he played a villain in Michael Mann's 'Collateral', and his re-teaming with his 'Oblivion' and 'Top Gun: Maverick' director would certainly work out for fans.

The film's official logline is the film "explores the glamour and corruption of mid-80s Miami and draws inspiration from the pilot and first season of the original TV series — the show that basically defined an era, from neon fashion to cinematic cool."
