Will "Supergirl's" Failure End The DCU?

Which is your favorite cinematic universe between the MCU and the old DCEU?
With 'Supergirl' failing in its opening weekend with $38 million domestic and $63 million worldwide gross against a $186 million budget, not including marketing, many analysts are calling danger on the DCU, which is two movies in from 'Superman' last year with 'Clayface' up next this fall.
The film is expected to make around $200 million, leaving around a $162 million loss, which is nothing compared to the losses of the top 3 failures, 'John Carter' ($250M), 'The Lone Ranger' ($240M), and 'The Marvels' ($230M).
With David Ellison's Paramount taking over Warner Bros., one has to wonder if he will keep James Gunn and Peter Safran as heads of DC Studios. Some fans of Zack Snyder's DCEU may hope it goes back to his control so he can finish his vision of the 'Justice League' sequels, but I think that ship has sailed.
I personally believe the DCU is maybe in a state of confusion, with no Batman coming until Matt Reeves finishes his Elseworlds version, as he wants no competition in that market. Still, the DCU will rebound this August with the 'Lanterns' show and next year with the 'Superman' sequel 'Man of Tomorrow.' Once they bring in Flash, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg, I think everyone can see James Gunn's vision come into clarity.
