What's your favorite Canadian sports team? Is it from the NHL? Baseball? CFL? Forget CFL, no one watches Canadian Football in the USA except Cosmo Kramer.
How many NBA championships would the Toronto Raptors have won if Kawhi Leonard hadn't left for his hometown LA Clippers in 2019? The Toronto Star has a list of demands that Kawhi's representative and Uncle, Dennis Robertson, made of the team after they won in his first season with the team. This comes as the LA Clippers owner, Steve Ballmer is currently under investigation by the NBA for Leonard getting $28 million from a tree company, Aspire Inc., which seems to be a shell company. Someone's in trouble.
The top 3 crazy demands Leonard had for the Raptors are:
Ownership in the hockey team Toronto Maple Leafs.
Trading for Paul George, which would have decimated their future, with many first-round picks being sent away.
$10 million extra for promotion sponsorships, but without having to do anything for it.
As everyone knows, the Kawhi Leonard and Paul George reign with the Clippers was a complete failure, never getting past the first round in the playoffs the last four seasons, and ended with George being sent to the Philadelphia 76ers last year. Usually, people get sent from Philly to LA like they did with the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air.
Will Leonard's leaving the Raptors tarnish his legacy? Do you think the Clippers will get penalized? Comment below with your thoughts.
