Dean Cain Forgets Superman Is An Alien From Outer Space As He Calls New Film Too Woke

Do you think it's possible that actors who play superheroes completely forget the backstory on said character? I mean, do you think Chris Evans goes into a Publix to buy foot cream and refers to himself as Captain Costa Rica to the Pharmacist, or Ryan Reynolds eats at Arby's, telling fans how he took a summer job cleaning pools for research on his most famous role?
In a new development that has some referring to Dean Cain as the Kevin Sorbo of comic book actors, Cain recently made headlines for criticizing James Gunn's Superman for being too woke and making Superman an immigrant.
"How woke is Hollywood going to make this character?...I think bringing Superman into it… I think that was a mistake by James Gunn to say it’s an immigrant thing, and I think it’s going to hurt the numbers on the movie. I was excited for the film. I am excited to see what it is… I’m rooting for it to be a success, but I don’t like that last political comment.”
Cain played Superman in the ABC show Lois & Clark for four seasons, and I don't know what research he did on the character, but Superman was not only an immigrant but an illegal alien. I'm not talking about one of those super dangerous aliens ICE is raiding at Home Depot, but an actual alien from outer space.
What's even more ironic is that in episode 14 of season 4 titled "Meet John Doe," Superman was confronted by Immigration over his lack of a green card. I think at this point, Cain was so method in his role as Clark Kent being from Kansas he forgot the alien part.
I'm not going to lie, I did enjoy the show and his portrayal when it aired, and I think Superman shouldn't be about politics but about doing the right thing. Like Jack Bauer did whether he was trying to save a Democrat or Republican President on my all-time favorite show "24."
