Finn Jones, best known for portraying Danny Rand in Marvel’s Iron Fist, is asking fans and Marvel Studios for another shot. During a recent appearance at the LaConve anime convention in Mexico, Jones made a candid plea to return as the martial arts superhero, telling fans: “Give me a f—ing chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong.”

Jones originally played Iron Fist in two seasons of Netflix’s Iron Fist as well as in Luke Cage and The Defenders. Despite the promise of the character, Iron Fist was widely considered the weakest of the Netflix-Marvel series. Critics cited issues with pacing, fight choreography, and Jones’ portrayal of the character—feedback the actor says he has taken to heart.

“I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it,” Jones said. “I would love to see [a return] happen.”

Jones' comments come as Marvel Studios is rumored to be exploring ways to bring back several Netflix-era characters into the MCU. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil has already made the leap, appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk, with a new series Daredevil: Born Again on the way. According to Marvel exec Brad Winderbaum, reviving other characters like Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones and Mike Colter’s Luke Cage is “something we are very much exploring.”

While there’s no official word on Iron Fist’s MCU future, Jones’ willingness to evolve and redeem the character shows a new level of passion. Given the current MCU multiverse framework, there’s certainly room for second chances—and for Jones, a chance to prove the critics wrong might just be the redemption arc Iron Fist needs.
