What is your favorite 'Star Wars' lightsaber fight in the franchise? While some will say 'Revenge Of The Sith's' ending duo of Anakin vs Obi Wan and Yoda vs Palpatine, I choose the film's middle battle of Mace Windu vs Palpatine as it has left the biggest question for fans to debate. Did Palpatine let Windu win to sucker Anakin to his side, or did Windu defeat him fair and square?
The New York Times is reporting on Tom Cruise's visit last November to the set of 'Star Wars: Starfighter' in England, where it seems Cruise took on a job behind the scenes as cameraman for director Shawn Levy (Deadpool & Wolverine). The film opens in theatres on May 28th, 2027, where Lucasfilm is hoping to recapture the magic that has vanished with disappointing sequels and too many TV series.
From the Times: “Cruise just wanted to watch, he told them, but Levy, setting up a scene involving a lightsaber duel in the water, suggested the star jump on one of the cameras. He’d meant it as a joke. But there was Cruise, wading into the muddy pond, holding the camera like a pro. Tom Cruise was up to his ankles in mud and pond water. He wore a look of great concentration as he stooped over a digital camera, trying to frame the perfect shot. Shawn Levy glanced around in slight disbelief.”
Shawn Levy talked about his disbelief at his set visitors: “Last week Steven Spielberg was here. And now Tom Cruise is wielding a camera, ruining his very nice shoes. Now when you see the movie, you’ll know that part of it was shot by Tom. I mean, how cool is that?”
