Superman Peacemaker DC Max

What's your best movie theater experience? I have to say mine is when I went to see 'Blimp', a film about the Hindenburg disaster. When the blimp exploded, I yelled out, "That's gotta hurt!"

'Superman' has come out today on Digital after only 35 days playing in theaters, a decision by Warner Bros. that is causing a lot of ripples with movie theater owners, especially when there's still money to be made. The film is currently passing $596 worldwide box office gross and still has millions to make. I won't see any of that, so it won't affect me personally, but it would be sure nice if it did. DC Studios, Venmo me.

In an interview with Screen Rant, director James Gunn explained his decision, which had to do with Peacemaker season 2 being released next Thursday on HBO Max.

"Well, it's very complicated, but the truth is it is because of Peacemaker. I originally thought Peacemaker was going to be coming out next month. There was a lot of things that are beyond our control, so that Peacemaker is coming out now. At the end of the day, I wanted everyone to be able to see Superman that wanted to. Even those people who couldn't get to a theater before Peacemaker. And that's really the reason for it."

I think all summer blockbuster films should have a longer theatrical window. In fact, I'd like to see them last the whole season. There were times when I was going to watch one that had finished playing days before. What do you think? Comment below with your thoughts.
